I know. This picture doesn’t convey anything morbid, but that’s the funny thing about life–we don’t usually think in these terms. Unless, like Mark Hoppus, you struggle with depression.
Mark Hoppus Triumphs over Stage 4 Cancer
I recently read a just-released memoir by Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus. It satisfied my curiosity on a number of fronts. I’ve always wondered, if I had Cancer, would I have the will and inner strength to fight it? Or would I just surrender and let go because I hate going to the doctor so much? Well in this book, Hoppus was so through in his explanations of the chemo process that I’m confident I would fight it. Even if it was excruciating. Because some people do get their life back. A Changed one, to be sure, but one that might be better than the last one because they appreciate it more.
